What I’m Loving – Week of January 21, 2019

What am I loving this week? Glad you asked! Here’s a quick list of what I’m loving and what’s making me happy this week:

Just a few of the things I’m loving this week.

1. I’ve been working on improving my handwriting this year and recently decided to try out an all-capital letters writing style. I’m really enjoying it so far and am having fun every time I sit down to practice!

2. I know I’m a few years late to the party, but my wife and I started watching Westworld this past week and have been loving it! It’s such a great mix of sci-fi and drama, not to mention you never know what’s going to happen next. Consider me hooked.

3. It’s been a cold week in Colorado, which means more home cooking than usual. I had a really interesting creation earlier this week that was a twist on Aloo Gobi that I’ll definitely be trying again.

If you’re curious, I used my Pelikan M200 inked up with Caran d’Ache Infinite Grey for the border and my Pelikan M500 inked up with PenBBS #178 Rose Quartz for the words. I used a Hippo Noto notebook with 68gsm Tomoe River paper.

The pens and paper I used for this post.

  1. I have a friend whose handwriting is atrocious and illegible – until she writes in capitals, and then it’s like a work of art! Keep practicing!

Hey Toby, I am just practicing on my own. I used to have some worksheets that I used, but now I’m just concentrating on slowing down. I haven’t heard of the Spencerian books for handwriting improvement, but that’s probably a little more ornate than I want to get. I’m sure the drills would be helpful though.
