Any time I write a new blog post, I always try to write something that I would want to read or that I would find useful. I figure if I don’t care about it, why should anyone else? It also keeps me passionate about what I do and what I write.
The same goes for selling things. Years ago when I worked at a retail shop, I learned that if I truly cared about a product and found it interesting or useful, it was much easier to sell because there was no deception involved. I bring that same approach to the reviews I post here. Hopefully, if I care about something it comes through in the post.
The Shop
With that being said, I’m excited to introduce The Shop! It can be found as a new item in the navigation menu at the top of each page. As you may have noticed, I’ve really become infatuated with fountain pen friendly paper. Unfortunately, in order to try out any given paper I have to purchase an entire notebook. I always thought it would be nice to be able to get just a few sheets to try out. Well now you can!
The paper sample packs that are available in the shop were born out of something that I would find useful and actually use. Each pack contains samples of various fountain pen friendly papers taken directly from notebooks. This way, you can try samples of many different papers and figure out which is your favorite without needing to spend hundreds of dollars purchasing different notebooks!
This is how the papers will be grouped when you receive them.
A small amount of washi tape is used to attach the description to the paper.
Future Plans
At the moment, I only have one sample pack available. It includes many different types of fountain pen friendly paper, from simple HP copy paper to luxurious Life L. writing paper. I do have plans for adding more sample packs in the near future. Those might include luxury papers, high-sheen papers, quick dry papers and stationery.
I am also currently only shipping to customers in the United States. I plan to eventually open up international sales and shipping, but for now want to focus on making sure I can keep up with demand and that the shop is running smoothly. If you live outside of the United States and would be interested in helping me test out the shop once it’s ready for international sales, please let me know.

I wanted to suggest another paper for you to add to your selection 🙂 I just learned about Fedrigoni Splendorgel Natural Cream 85gsm paper. I’ve not tried it yet, but its supposed to be smoother than TR paper and work equally as well with fountain pens and watercolors. Also, have you considered trying Onion Skin paper? The Paper Mill online sells it, but you can only purchase it in 100 sheets or a ream of paper and its pricey!!! Thanks again!

That sounds like a really interesting paper, Lola. I’ll have to see if I can track some down. As for Onion Skin paper, I haven’t tried it with fountain pens. I think I had some a long time ago that I used with pencils. Yet another paper to be on the lookout for!
