Updates For A New Year

With a new year come new updates. Here’s what 2025 is looking like so far…

YouTube

Back in 2020 I started making videos for my YouTube channel. While I enjoyed it, the time just wasn’t right for me to keep on creating videos. Fast forward to 2025 and it’s time to revive the channel! Picking up where I left off in 2024, I’m going to start doing videos of the different doodle patterns that I enjoy. I feel like video is a great way to explain and demonstrate doodling, so I’ll be updating my doodle blog posts once the corresponding video is ready.

Paper Sample Packs

Paper sample packs continue to sell to paper enthusiasts both locally and around the world! While the core papers in the sample pack haven’t changed since I started offering it 2019, I do try to update the options when new papers become widely available. Unfortunately, some papers also tend to disappear from the market. This sample pack update takes both factors into account.

Removed Paper Samples

  • HP Premium32 – This paper is still a great paper, but is something I’ve been considering removing from the sample packs for quite some time since it is more of a specialty item.
  • Colored Verge de France – I feel like this is just filler that can be cut since there is still a sample of this paper in the Everything Pack.
  • Cosmo Air Light 92gsm – This paper is not available for purchase anywhere, so I don’t want anyone to fall in love with it and not be able to find it.
  • Tomoe River 52gsm old version – Similar to the Cosmo Air Light, this paper is no longer available so I am removing it from all paper sample packs.
  • Kokuyo Campus High Grade (CYO-BO) – It doesn’t look like notebooks with CYO-BO paper are available in the United States any longer, so for now I’m removing them from paper sample packs.

Added Paper Samples

The following papers have been available in the Custom Sample Pack for a while now, but I am now adding them to the Everything Sample Pack as well:

A New Series?

For the past few years I’ve done a regular series of blog posts. Last year (2024) was doodling and 2023 was Ink of the Week. This year I’m not sure that I’m going to do a series and will instead be spending time creating videos for YouTube. But, you never know, I may get the urge to start up a series at some point during the year!

That about does it for updates at this time. Thanks so much for reading and we’ll get back to regular blog posts soon.
